Homemade Moisturizing Facial Masks
1. Vitamin C Face Mask: Mix 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons of orange juice and 1 teaspoon of organic almond oil in a small glass bowl. Stir the mixture until it forms a consistent paste. Wash your face and neck with a gentle cleanser. Pat your skin dry with a soft towel. Apply the mixture onto your face and neck thoroughly, avoiding your eyes, nostrils and mouth. Let the mixture remain on your skin for 20-25 minutes. Rinse the mask off with water, pat dry your skin and apply a thin layer of moisture to augment the hydrating power of the mask.
This hydrating face mask serves dual purpose. The almond oil will hydrate your skin and vitamin C contained in the orange juice will work to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
2. Citrus Honey Mask: Mix 2 tablespoons orange juice and 2 tablespoons of honey in a small glass bowl. Stir the mixture till it forms a consistent paste, thick enough to be applied without dripping. Wash your face and neck with a gentle cleanser. Pat your skin dry with a soft towel. Apply the mixture onto your face and neck thoroughly, avoiding your eyes, nostrils and mouth. Let the mixture remain on your skin for 20 minutes. . Rinse the mask off with water, pat dry your skin and apply a thin layer of moisture to augment the hydrating power of the mask.
3. Honey-Almond Oil Mask: Mix 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 table spoons of organic almond oil and 2 tablespoon of butter milk. Blend the mixture together to form a uniform solution. (i) Avocado Alone: You need a ripe avocado for this easy mask. Mashed one avocado into a consistent paste, apply gently over your cleansed face and leave there for 15-20 minutes, and then rinse it off.
(ii) Avocado Delight: Mix one ripe avocado, one teaspoon yogurt, one teaspoons olive oil and one teaspoon honey to form a uniform paste. Apply and leave it on for twenty minutes, and then rinse it off.
(iii) Avocado-Egg: Beat one egg white and mix it with one ripe avocado, one tea spoon olive oil and one teaspoon apple cider vinegar. Apply it on cleansed face & neck, leave it on for 15 minutes, and then rinse it off.
Natural Beauty Tips:
(i) Use fresh fruits, and not the canned ones;
(ii) Wash your face with a mild face cleanser, pat it dry with soft towel, before applying face mask;
(iii) Apply face mask using your fingers, massaging gently in small circular motions, avoiding eyes, nostrils and lips;
