Natural Treatment of Alzheimer’s

Natural Treatment of Alzheimer’s

A growing number of herbal remedies, dietary supplements and "medical foods" are promoted as memory enhancers or treatments to delay or prevent Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Claims about the safety and effectiveness of these products, however, are based largely on testimonials, tradition and a rather small body of scientific research. The rigorous scientific research required by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the approval of a prescription drug is not required by law for the marketing of dietary supplements or "medical foods."

What Is Alzheimer’s Disease?
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is considered a progressive but common form of dementia. The condition typically affects individuals over the age of 65 and typically worsens until an individual’s death. While the symptoms are different for everyone, common indicators include difficulty remembering recent events and confusion in unfamiliar situations. As these and other symptoms can be misconstrued as stress or age-related issues, AD often goes unidentified until more serious complications arise. As the condition progresses, individuals often have trouble recognizing faces or people, retaining information, and maintaining a static personality.

Top Foods For Alzheimer’s Disease
Organic, unprocessed foods – Make sure you diet includes plenty of “real foods”.  These are foods which do not have an ingredient listing!  Vegetables and clean meats, fruit in moderation are all important foods to consume.
Antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, E – There may be some connection between free radicals and Alzheimer’s. Antioxidants help combat the damage caused by free radicals.  Colorful fruits and vegetables are high in antioxidants and should be consumed at every meal.
Wild-caught fish – A great source for Omega-3 fats, DHA specifically which are critical for brain health.
Foods high in zinc – Many people with Alzheimer’s are deficient in zinc. Foods high in zinc include pumpkin seeds, grass-fed beef, and dark chocolate.
Coconut oil – Coconut oil provides the brain with ketones which the brain can use instead of glucose. Some people have seen significant improvement to memory after adding coconut to their diet.

Foods to Avoid
Any food containing toxins or additives – These foods can possibly be neurotoxic.  One of the causes of Alzheimer’s may be chemicals or toxins in food.  It is best to avoid any processed foods.
Alcohol – Alcohol is a toxin and can cause brain cells to die faster than normal.
Tap water – Tap water may contain environmental toxins, so try to avoid it and choose purified bottled water instead.
Sugar and refined grains – Alzheimer’s may be caused by insulin resistance, similar to diabetes, therefore keeping your insulin low by eliminating sugar and refined grains will be an important component in maintaining brain health.
Foods packaged in aluminum containers–  Aluminum is neurotoxic at high levels, therefore it is best to avoid it.

  1. The past 4 years of my life has been years of torment right from when i was diagnosed with breast cancer (triple negative) stage IV. It was hard for me because i never in my life imagined i would have anything related to cancer. The first two years my oncologist gave me so much hope that i had to undergo chemo and radiation therapy twice and the lymph nodes were still there. It kept reoccurring and i was about to lose it all. I lost weight and i had high blood pressure due to steady thinking. I got the contact of Dr. Roland whom i was told treats cancer naturally with herbal medicine, i never believed but i was dying and to satisfy my curiosity i had to invite him over and he came with his medicine and began to treat me for a month. In three months time i didn't feel any symptoms and i decided to confirm and i went to my oncologist for a test and i tested negative to cancer. I never believed in herbal methods or treatments but now i do because it saved me. You too can contact him for more info on any form of cancer and also about his medicine and treatment process on (dr.rolandoscar@gmail.com) do not die in ignorance and never give up hope.
