Tea Bags
Tea has antioxidant properties which help to hydrate the eyes. Take a cup of hot water and soak 2-3 tea bags for a few minutes. Then put two cotton balls in the cup and let it soak the tea. Allow the tea to get warm. Then put the warm cotton balls over each eyelids and leave for a few minutes.Then put the tea bags over closed dry eyes for 5 minutes. Black tea is preferable for this method.Chamomile tea also helps to cure dry and sore eyes. Take a cup of chamomile tea and soak it in warm water. Let it cool and then use it to wash your eyes.

Lavender Oil
Take a bowl of warm water and add 2-3 drops of lavender oil in it. Dip 2 cotton balls in this mixture.Then squeeze out the excess mixture from the cotton balls and place them on closed eyes. It helps to regain the lost moisture and oil to treat dry eyes.


Warm Compress
A warm compress can be created by soaking towel/cloth in warm water. You can place warm compress on the eyelids for 10 – 15 minutes to reduce dryness in the eyes.

Fennel Seeds
A mixture can be prepared by adding dried fennel seeds (1 teaspoon) in boiling water (1 cup). Cotton balls can be soaked in this mixture and kept on the closed eyelids for a period of 10 – 15 minutes to cure the problem of dry eyes.

Cold Milk As Home Remedies
Close your eyes and apply cold milk dipped in a cloth. Apply the cloth over your eye and get great comfort from dryness in your eye. Normal eyes must blink after a certain interval of time.Milk spreads the tear film around the eyes which in turn makes the surface of the eye really smooth as well as clear.

Aloe Vera For Your Eyes
The ingredients or contents in the kitchen can sometimes act brilliantly to eradicate some diseases. If you can use aloe vera adequately, dryness in your eyes can be reduced.You can slice down aloe vera and place it above your eye to make your eye moist again. It is also possible to make the dry eyes moist by applying aloe Vera gel in your eyelids. If you can supply proper nutrition to your eye, severe problem of dry eyes will be eradicated. 

Castor Oil
Castor oil is known to act as a water retainer. In this sense, it is a good remedy for dry eyes to place a single drop of castor oil in the eye. A study on castor oil and its optometric function showed that it is good for dry eyes in cases of meibomian gland dysfunction.

So, adequate intake of omega 3 fatty acids and omega 6 fatty acids keeps dry eyes at bay. Consume lots of dry fruits like walnuts, almonds, etc., sesame, whole grains, fish and lots of fruits especially grapes. Rosewater
Rosewater works wonders as herbal remedies for dry eyes due to its powerful soothing and calming qualities. Just dip a cotton ball into rosewater and place it above your eyes for 10 minutes. Alternately, you can also put few drops of rosewater in your eyes to get immediate relief from symptoms of dry eyes.
