Natural home remedies for toothache pain



Pepper and Salt
Salt mixed with pepper can be of great use when a tooth becomes extremely sensitive as both the ingredients have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
Mix equal amounts of pepper and common salt with a few drops of water to form a paste.
Apply the paste directly on the affected tooth and allow it to sit for a few minutes.
Do this daily for several days.

Garlic
Use of garlic can also provide immense relief from toothache. Garlic has antibiotic and other medicinal properties that can be very effective in reducing the pain.
Mix a crushed garlic clove (or garlic powder) with some table salt or black salt and apply it directly on the affected tooth to alleviate the pain. If you prefer, you can chew one or two cloves of garlic to get relief.
Repeat this natural treatment for a few days.

Cloves
Cloves have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant and anesthetic properties that help alleviate tooth pain and fight infection.
Grind two whole cloves. Mix in a little olive oil or any vegetable oil and apply on the affected tooth.
Another option is to dab a cotton ball in clove oil and rub it directly on the sore tooth. Or, you can mix a few drops of clove oil in half a glass of water and use it as a mouth rinse.

Chew Ginger Root
Ginger contains powerful anti-bacterial properties that can be very beneficial not only in relieving toothaches but also in reducing redness and swelling and healing minor infections. Fresh ginger roots work more effectively. As per this remedy, you have to bite it down with the same tooth that is aching. This way, the juice will be applied on the infected areas. For better results, keep swishing the juice for a few minutes around the aching tooth.

Chew Red Onions
Raw red onions can also be used to soothe toothache. This is a very simple home remedy, but it works fast and provides you the much needed relief quickly. You just have to chew a small piece of red onion with the affected tooth. Onion also contains very effective natural bactericidal qualities.When you chew few pieces of a raw red onion for at 3-5 minutes, it kills all the germs and soothes pain and swelling. As an additional benefit, this remedy also boosts your body’s immunity because onions are also rich in vitamin B12, vitamin E and sodium.

Ice
Though ice can also be used to soothe toothache, there are a few things that you must keep in mind in this regard. For example, ice should never be placed directly against gums or skin. The best way is to use ice packed in a thin towel. Alternatively, bags of frozen vegetables can also be used. Likewise, it is also very important for you to understand that drinking cold beverages can have adverse effects.

Cloves
Cloves can be an excellent remedy with either the clove itself or a few drops of clove oil. However, if you use clove oil, be cautious as too much can be toxic. Either drop a bit of clove oil on the painful area, rest a clove on their, or ground cloves with water or olive oil to make a paste to spread along your teeth.

Tea Bag
After making a fresh cup of tea, use the warm tea bag and apply it directly to the painful area inside your mouth. Be careful to not break the bag. A tea bag is effective as a toothache remedy because it helps to numb the area naturally.

Baking Soda
Another popular toothache remedy is baking soda. In order to use the method, moisten a cotton swab with water, coat it well with baking soda, and apply it to the painful area. Another option would be to create a mouth rinse of a spoonful of baking soda dissolved into a small glass of warm water before swishing in your mouth—be sure not to swallow.

Guava Leaves
By chewing on a few tender guava leaves, you will release juice from the leaves that will work wonders on the painful and affected tooth. In case you don’t like the taste of the leaves, you can also boil four to five guava leaves in water; allow the water to cool before adding some salt and using it as a mouthwash.
