Homemade Coffee Face Scrub Recipe

Hello Friends, Today i am going to tell you Homemade Coffee Face Scrub Recipe. This is the best way Homemade Coffee Face Scrub Recipe. So you can check Homemade Coffee Face Scrub Recipe  Below Here. Waking up in the morning on weekends can be arduous, particularly if you have had grueling working week days. What I do on weekends to kick start my day is to use a natural face scrub that exfoliate as well as condition my skin – revitalizing it so that I am cheerful to get going with my weekends with a lively mood. I don’t only feel good having a fresh-feeling face, but also fully wake up to enjoy my weekends.
And what better way to wake up your face than with a coffee facial scrub? I started using this a few months ago and love it. I think a lot has to do with the Pavlovian connection between the smell of coffee in the morning and shaking the sleep from my head.

Over the years, I’ve become more and more worried about what it is I’m using on my body, as I hear more about healthcare products being considered “toxic”. The idea of making this facial scrub with items from my kitchen definitely helps me feel better about what I’m using on my face. I still wouldn’t eat it though; epsom salts are my favorite salt to use in the scrub, and it’s a natural laxative. Yikes!

Coffee Face Scrub Benefits
Making a scrub at home enables you to tailor the ingredients to what your skin needs. You get a chance to test which oils can best condition and moisturize your skin. For example, olive oil is known to lessen signs of aging, and moreover, it leaves your skin feeling less oily than coconut oil. However, make sure to rinse with lukewarm water right after the scrub to take away most of the pore-clogging oil. Some oil left on your face is no problem, if you have typically dry skin.

Which salt to use? – It’s all personal preference. Though, sea salt has a lot of benefits – I prefer using epsom salts to other salts for making scrubs as I always have it around to treat my sports injuries. It restocks your magnesium levels that helps relieve stress, alleviate pain, and get rid of toxins.

I also use sugar in this coffee facial scrub to help exfoliate dead skin cells. Whereas, caffeine in the coffee grounds helps reducing redness, cinnamon, on the other hand, does the opposite. However, you need to be careful while adding cinnamon to the mix. Some people are sensitive to its use and it can leave their face looking a little too red. I love using the cinnamon as it is a face plumper, so it helps smooth out fine lines on my face, brings blood and oxygen to the skin’s surface – so beneficial for skin conditions such as acne, pimples and eczema. It also provides you with a tingly clean feeling, which is no doubt refreshing.

So, this scrub for your face is packed with lots of skin friendly ingredients! And plus point is you are aware of all of the ingredients being used while making it at home, which is a relief these days, when you can hardly pronounce most of ingredients displayed on the labels affixed on store-bought beauty products.

How Often To Use This Scrub: Use this scrub about once a week, particularly if you have naturally oily skin. In case you have real dry skin, skip the cinnamon.

DIY Coffee Face Scrub

You will need:

(i) Coffee: 1 cup, grounded

(ii) Epsom salt: 1/3 cup

(iii) Sugar: ½ cup, brown

(iv) Cinnamon: 1 tea spoon (optional, skip this if your skin is sensitive)

(v) Olive oil: 1 cup, extra virgin (or coconut oil)

Method:

(i) Pour the salt into a bowl. If the salt is thick, use a pestle or the back of a large spoon to gently crush them into smaller granules to be suitable for a smoother facial scrub.

(ii) Add in the coffee grounds, brown sugar and oil. Mix well the ingredients together using a spoon and stir until evenly combined.

(iii) Transfer the mixture to a sealable air-tight jar.

(iv) Use in the morning, once a week (I use it on weekends) as part of your normal beauty care regime, scooping out about 2 tablespoons of the scrub and scrubbing your face with it. Rinse out the oil well with lukewarm water; finish with cold water splash to close the skin pores.

Hey, leave your bed, try it and let us know how it works for you!
